As in the past two years Technomar is also represented with a booth at the eCarTec 2013 from 15.10. to 17.10.2013.
Around 12,000 visitors and nearly 500 exhibitors visited the 5th International trade fair for hybrid and electric vehicles, from the 15th to 17th October which took place in the Munich Trade Fair Centre.
Technomar presented here the two e-mobility research projects SMARTV2G and MOBINCITY funded by the European Commission, in which solutions are developed for a smart public charging infrastructure.
Although in 2013 the media hype around electric mobility has slowed a little bit, this year is of great importance for the industry. This because until the end of 2014 there are announced 16 new electric vehicles only from German manufacturers. With Volkswagen, which introduced their E-Up and Daimler, which offer their smart fortwo electric drive in its third generation, two large German manufacturers were represented at eCarTec. A special highlight was the Californian manufacturer of the Tesla Model S, which is already surpassing the German premium brands and this not only in California but also in Norway where Tesla S is the best-selling car even before the VW Gulf. On the one hand this success is based to the fact that Tesla has managed to push the battery prices below 180 EUR per kilowatt hour what experts had predicted at the earliest for the year 2030. On the other hand Tesla has solved the range problem. Thanks to the cheap batteries there are now distances of up to 500 km possible. Additionally due to its own network of fast-charging stations Tesla has overcome almost all range restrictions of EVs. Tis offer is particularly attractive as Tesla customers can refuel here their EV for free. (Picture: Tesla Motors)
